Like most independent films, “The Genius of a Place” is donor-supported. It’s too large of a project for us to do entirely on our own as it involves years worth of production expenses plus paying other professionals when their services are required. Because of this, it’s thanks to our supporters that our film will become a reality. We’re engaged in post-production work and if we raise sufficient funds, we aim to finish the film by September 2012.

There are two ways to donate:

  1. Using a credit card on the store of From the Heart Productions (the film’s Fiscal Sponsor) by clicking here. You can input any amount. Although the store calls it a “purchase”, it’s actually a donation. All funds will be applied to work on the film.
  2. Writing a check.  IMPORTANT: please write the check in favor of From the Heart Productions and in the memo line write “The Genius of a Place”. From the Heart Productions has been successfully funding films since its inception in 1993 under the 501(c)(3) Internal Revenue Code of 1954. They’re also classified as a public charity under section 509(a)(2) of the Code.
