Sarah Marder – Creator, Producer, Reporter and Co-Director

Sarah, 47, was born and raised on a farm in Kansas, graduated from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in 1986 and has lived in Italy since 1988. She has wanted to document the beauty of Cortona ever since 1986, when she first saw the town, together with her future husband, whose family has been going on vacation there for generations.

For Sarah, this project allows her to apply in a new way her skills and sensitivity gained in different spheres and life experiences .

During her twenty year career in Citigroup, Sarah led the company’s Communications and Community Engagement programs in Italy.

Sarah and her husband have four children, ranging from six to nineteen.

Sarah brings to this documentary her abilities as a communicator, her professionalism and organizational skills, her social sensitivity and her love of Cortona.

Andrea Corti – Cinematographer, Producer

Andrea, 30, and one of the three founding partners of OLO Creative Farm, graduated from Milan’s Politecnico University 2003, with a major in Visual Communication. He then attended the University of Lapland for six months, studying Visual Arts, and specializing in photography. Once back in Italy, he began focusing on graphic design and motion graphics. Besides his involvement in numerous film projects,  Andrea is currently working toward a PhD in Communication Design at the Politecnico.

To this documentary Andrea brings his rigor as a researcher, his interest in the topic, and the cinematographic skills to create a polished and compelling film.

Max De Ponti –Director, Editor

Max, 30 and one of the three founding partners of OLO Creative Farm, graduated from the Politecnico of Milan, with a major in Movie Design. In 2004 he moved to New York and got a degree in Filmmaking at New York Film Academy. Since 2003 he’s been directing and producing short films, documentaries, music videos, and video installations for which he has received many prizes and praise from critics.

Max channels his sensitivity, sociability and love of cinema into his work.  As a Director, to this documentary he brings his ability to capture the feelings of people and places through sound and image. As an Editor, he brings his discerning eye which allows him to choose the shots that he believes best communicate the film’s message.

Mattia Amadori – Director, Editor

Mattia, 30 and one of the three founding partners of OLO Creative Farm, also graduated from the Politecnico of Milan, with a major in Visual Communication. In 2003, he studied Cine-video at the Academy of “Belas Artes” in Porto, Portugal.  Since 2004 he has been directing and creating short films, documentaries, music videos, and video installations, winning prizes and awards among critics.

Mattia is a nature lover and traveller with a tendency toward the poetic.  Besides his cinematographic skills, Mattia brings to this documentary his desire to capture Cortona’s people, buildings and landscapes in the poetic way he believes they deserve.

Andrea Aquino – Sound engineer, Assistant Director (AD)

Andrea, 24, graduated from the Furniture Design program at the Politecnico in Milan, with a major in Communications Design. He has worked on the topic of sustainability in projects such as Panasonic’s “Friendly Kitchen”.  For the last two years he has, among other things, organized Sonica, a cultural festival Lecco, Italy (near Como).  He joined the documentary team in the spring of 2009.

Andrea is intensely interested in the theme of sustainable tourism.  Moreover, as the youngest member of the creative team and one that just recently left school, he brings to the documentary an inside-view of what is needed to reach young people in the viewing public.

Sarah ha 47 anni, è nata e cresciuta in una fattoria nel Kansas, si è laureata alla Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service nel 1986 e ha vissuto in Italia dal 1988. Ha avuto il desiderio di documentare la bellezza di Cortona fin dal 1986, quando ha visto la cittadina per la prima volta insieme al suo futuro marito, la cui famiglia frequenta Cortona da generazioni.

Questo progetto permette a Sarah di mettere a frutto la sua sensibilità e le sue capacità, acquisite in differenti campi ed esperienze di vita.

Durante la sua carriera ventennale in Citigroup, Sarah ha diretto i programmi di Comunicazione e di Impegno Sociale della compagnia in Italia.

Sarah e suo marito hanno quattro figli, dai sei ai dicianove anni.

Sarah porta al documentario le sue abilità come comunicatore, le sue abilità professionali e organizzative, la sua sensibilità sociale e il suo amore per Cortona.

Andrea Corti – Producer, Direttore della Fotografia

Andrea ha 30 anni ed è uno dei tre soci fondatori di OLO creative farm. Si è laureato nel 2003 presso il Politecnico di Milano, con una specializzazione in Comunicazione Visiva. Ha poi frequentato l’Università della Lapponia per sei mesi, studiando Arti Visive e specializzandosi in fotografia. Una volta rientrato in Italia, si è focalizzato su grafica e motion graphics. Oltre al suo coinvolgimento in diversi progetti filmici, Andrea è dottorando in Design della Comunicazione presso il Politecnico di Milano.

Andrea porta a questo documentario il suo rigore di ricercatore, il suo interesse per l’argomento e le sue capacità filmiche per creare un film avvincente e raffinato.

Max ha 30 anni ed è uno dei tre soci fondatori di OLO creative farm. Si è laureato presso il Politecnico di Milano nel 2004, con una tesi in Movie Design. Nello stesso anno si è trasferito a New York, dove si è diplomato presso la New York Film Academy. Fin dal 2003 ha diretto e prodotto cortometraggi, documentari, video musicali e installazioni video, per cui ha ricevuto diversi premi e apprezzamenti della critica.

Max apporta in questo lavoro la sua sensibilità, socievolezza e amore per il cinema. Come regista di questo documentario, porta la sua abilità a catturare i sentimenti della gente e dei posti attraverso suono ed immagine. Come montatore, porta il suo sguardo esigente, che gli permette di scegliere quali inquadrature comunicano al meglio il messaggio del film.

Mattia ha 30 anni ed è uno dei tre soci fondatori di OLO creative farm. Anche Mattia si è laureato presso il Politecnico di Milano, con specializzazione in Comunicazione Visiva. Nel 2003 ha studiato per un anno presso la facoltà di Cine-Video dell’accademia di “Belas Artes” di Porto, in Portogallo. Dal 2003 ha diretto e prodotto cortometraggi, documentari, video musicali e video installazioni, vincendo diversi premi e apprezzamenti della critica.

Mattia è un amante della natura e un viaggiatore, con una spiccata tendenza poetica. Oltre alle sue capacità cinematografiche, Mattia porta a questo documentario il suo desiderio di “catturare” i paesaggi, le costruzioni e gli abitanti di Cortona nella maniera poetica necessaria a raccontare questa storia nel migliore dei modi.

Andrea Aquino – Assistente alla Regia, Tecnico del Suono

Andrea ha 24 anni e si è laureato in Design del Prodotto presso il Politecnico di Milano, con una tesi in Design della Comunicazione. Ha già lavorato sul tema della sostenibilità in progetti come “Friendly Kitchen” di Panasonic.
Negli ultimi due anni, tra le altre cose, ha organizzato Sonica, un festival culturale e musicale a Lecco (CO). Si è aggiunto al team del documentario nella primavera del 2009.

Andrea è molto interessato al tema del turismo sostenibile. Inoltre, come membro più giovane del team creativo  e avendo appena terminato le scuole, Andrea porta al documentario un punto di vista personale di ciò che è necessario per raggiungere un pubblico di giovani.
